Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Traveling Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects across multiple locations. This role offers the opportunity to oversee large-scale building initiatives, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Traveling Superintendent will coordinate all aspects of construction management, supervise teams on-site, and maintain seamless communication with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. Duties
- Lead and manage multiple commercial construction projects across various sites, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and safety standards.
- Supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors on-site, providing clear direction and support to maintain productivity and quality.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction documents to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications.
- Coordinate construction schedules using Primavera P6 or other project management software to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
- Oversee construction site safety compliance by enforcing federal OSHA regulations and industry best practices; conduct regular safety audits.
- Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and daily reports using tools like ProCore and Bluebeam.
- Conduct quality control inspections to verify work meets design intent, schematics, and industry standards; address deficiencies promptly.
- Collaborate with project managers on budgeting, cost control measures, and procurement strategies to keep projects financially on track.
- Review construction drawings for accuracy; interpret technical specifications; ensure proper installation of systems such as electrical schematics or piping pipelines.
- Utilize heavy-duty tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing; oversee construction schedule coordination to meet critical deadlines.
- Maintain excellent communication with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project execution from start to finish.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing large-scale commercial or federal construction projects as a superintendent or in a similar leadership role.
- Extensive knowledge of construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera (P6), HeavyBid or equivalent estimating tools.
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling techniques and project management principles; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience leading diverse teams on active construction sites; excellent management skills.
- Deep familiarity with federal construction safety regulations (OSHA) and industry best practices for site safety compliance.
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical specifications; proficient in blueprint reading.
- Ability to manage budgets effectively while maintaining high-quality standards; experience with construction estimating is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate between clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams seamlessly.
- Valid certifications in OSHA safety standards; relevant licenses or credentials preferred.
- Hands-on experience with construction site operations including use of tools like ohmmeters; strong background in construction site experience is essential.

Pay: $62,541.00 - $119,040.24 per year
