E2D – Eliminate the Digital Divide is a non-profit dedicated to ensuring that all North Carolina citizens have affordable access to essential at-home technology and the data and information to empower families to prosper through better education, better jobs and better futures. Since 2013, E2D has placed over 75,000 computers into homes with demonstrated need.
Working closely with the VP of Operations, the Operations Manager will be responsible for managing day to day operations and staff supervision at all three of E2D’s refurbishment lab locations. As a member of the extended leadership team, this role will have a voice in shaping how E2D grows, scales, and strengthens our operations for the future.

Main Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight & Execution (50%)
- Manage day-to-day operations and maintain a physical presence across all 3 lab locations each week, ensuring alignment with program goals and safety/quality standards.
- Oversee inventory systems, hardware fulfillment, and inter-site logistics (including occasional driving of the organization cargo van).
- Partner with IT to monitor refurbishment workflows and continuously optimize resource utilization and efficiency.
- Coordinate operational resource allocation and scheduling across all lab sites.
Leadership & Team Supervision (30%)
- Directly supervise and support site supervisors and operations personnel across all refurbishment lab locations.
- Guide, mentor, and evaluate direct reports to drive program consistency, team development, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee day-to-day coordination between the Operations Coordinator and lab supervisors to streamline workflow.
Reporting, Tracking & Communication (20%)
- Compile and deliver regular operational metrics, refurbishment progress reports, and inventory status updates to executive leadership.○
- Utilize CRM systems (HubSpot) and internal data tools to maintain accurate records of donations, inventory flow, and operational metrics.
- Serve as the primary operational liaison between senior leadership, supervisors, and technical staff.
The best candidates for this position have the following qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience leading operations, logistics, warehouse, manufacturing, or production teams (experience managing young adults preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent professional experience in operations or logistics).
- Proficiency in productivity software (Google Workspace; familiarity with basic CRM tools like HubSpot is preferred).
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record and willingness/ability to occasionally drive the organization's cargo van for local logistics and equipment transportation.
- Basic familiarity with computer hardware, components, and IT asset handling (or willingness/ability to quickly learn E2D’s hardware refurbishment workflows).
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a high level of attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Versatile team player capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits:
E2D strives to offer competitive salaries and benefits within the nonprofit field.
- Compensation: $55,000 – $65,000 per year, depending on experience, plus potential for performance-based bonuses.
- Benefits: Monthly ICHRA reimbursement, $500 dental/vision HRA, 401(k) with matching, FSA, and paid vacation/holidays.●
