American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Wytheville, VA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ER experience and MedHost EMR proficiency.

Emergency Department (ER) in a community hospital setting
-
14-bed ED serving all patient populations (pediatric, adult, geriatric)
-
Patient ratio of 1:4–5
-
Equipment includes Baxter pumps and Spacelabs cardiac monitors
-
EMR: MedHost (experience required)
-
Shift: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM (11a–11p)
-
Every other weekend required
-
No on-call requirements
-
13-week contract
-
Active VA or Compact RN license required
-
Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
-
Minimum 2 years of ER experience required

MedHost EMR experience required

Trauma experience preferred

Permanent address must be located more than 60 miles from the facility

SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Provide emergency nursing care to all patient populations in a community hospital ED

Any color solid scrubs are acceptable

Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months

Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
