Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Server/Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong understanding of food handling and safety practices. This role involves taking orders, serving food, handling cash transactions, and ensuring a clean and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Experience in a japanese restaurant or similar restaurant enviroment preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take food and beverage orders efficiently.
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the shift4 for order entry and cash handling.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed during preparation and service.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen, and restroom facilities.
- Assist in bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper change is given.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a quick service or fast food japanese restaurant preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Familiarity with POS
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and sales transactions.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual responsibilities.
