Traveling Superintendent – Mission Critical
Aurum Construction, part of the Goldenrod Companies platform, is seeking experienced Traveling Superintendents to lead field operations on large-scale mission critical projects throughout the Midwest and Southeast.
This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing self-perform structural concrete contractor with a strong pipeline of large, technically complex projects across the country. The Traveling Superintendent will have overall responsibility for onsite execution, working closely with Project Managers, field teams, trade partners, owners, and project stakeholders to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and at the highest level of quality.
The ideal candidate is a strong field leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands aggressive mission critical schedules, and is comfortable taking ownership of a project from mobilization through turnover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead onsite construction activities from mobilization through project completion.
- Manage daily field operations, self-perform crews, trade partners, and site logistics.
- Develop, maintain, and drive short-term and master project schedules.
- Coordinate sequencing and manpower to maintain critical project milestones.
- Lead daily huddles, coordination meetings, and weekly planning meetings.
- Partner closely with Project Management to manage schedule, cost, quality, and project risk.
- Identify potential schedule or constructability issues early and develop solutions before they impact the project.
- Maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, trade partners, and project stakeholders.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Drive site safety expectations and maintain a strong safety culture.
- Coordinate inspections, punch lists, and project turnover.
- Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation.
- Mentor and develop Assistant Superintendents and field personnel.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of commercial construction experience with progressive field leadership responsibility.
- Previous Superintendent experience on large, complex commercial or industrial projects.
- Mission critical/data center experience strongly preferred.
- Self-perform concrete experience preferred.
- Experience managing accelerated schedules, large field teams, and complex scopes of work.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, drawings, specifications, and quality control.
- Ability to effectively lead field teams while maintaining accountability and productivity.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- OSHA 30 preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the Midwest and Southeast.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
