Job Summary:

Manage production of all meals and snacks served to ensure correct portions by adhering to the production records and standardized recipes.

Position involves handling a number of food allergens and a variety of meat products.

Assist with set up of serving lines and serves food.

Complete daily production record for breakfast/lunch/snacks as instructed.

Ensure all Federal and State government regulations are adhered to, including the reimbursable meal requirements so that the school will comply with all audits.

Ensure that students with special diet accommodations receive the correct meals.

Oversee SNS computer system tasks such as entering payments accurately, processing account information and account adjustments and day end procedures.

Maintain operational records so that they comply with District and USDA guidelines. Prepare low balance reports as outlined in SNS procedures. Ensure confidentiality of account information, PIN numbers and eligibility status.

Adhere to District’s HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points) plan. Complete monthly HACCP site report.

Wash, sanitize and store kitchen equipment and utensils according to USDA and local guidelines.

Support and promote the meal programs offered at the site.

Perform other tasks within the level of responsibilities indicated above as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
-
Must be able to successfully pass a food safety exam to acquire the Minnesota Certified Food Protection Manager license within 6 months of hire. The exam is offered by the employer.

Must be willing to attend the required food safety training course offered by the employer.

Experience in a public school kitchen and/or background in related food service operations.

Knowledge of government guidelines and procedures concerning sanitation and safety.

Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Computer skills and experience or willing to learn.

Regular, on-time attendance is required.

Stooping, bending, occasional awkward positions may be necessary to perform essential functions of the position. Must be able to lift 31-50 lbs.

High School diploma or GED preferred.
