Enter the fabulous world of comics and work for the premiere retailer! We are looking for a Full-Time IT Specialist that has experience with installation, configuration, documentation, and maintenance of a primarily Windows 10 workstation environment and PC hardware administration. We’re also looking for someone with a natural born love of comics. The IT Specialist will work closely with the IT team and management in many new initiatives by researching, planning, documenting, testing, and rolling out new systems and applications. This position requires excellent communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- The IT Specialist will provide support to users in our in our New Hyde Park, Queens, and Manhattan locations for all IT hardware and software issues
- Identify the cause of hardware and software failures and provide fixes as needed
- The IT Specialist will Support a hosted VoIP system using primarily Cisco and Panasonic IP phones
- Installation of updates/patches for all third-party software, operating systems, and hardware devices
- Installation of network cables, operating systems, third-party software, printers, etc.
- Research and manage projects in a professional, organized, and efficient manner
- The IT Specialist will troubleshoot, repair, maintain, install and manage desktop, laptop, and mobile devices
- The IT Specialist will ensure all IT issues are addressed in a timely manner
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Windows 7, Windows 10, and various hardware platforms. Windows Server experience is a plus
- Full knowledge & proficiency with Microsoft Office 2007, 2010, 365
- Familiarity with mobile devices. (iOS, Android, Windows)
- Experience with networking equipment is a plus (firewalls, switches, access points)
- Must be able to keep an “on-call” schedule for evenings and weekends, along with the ability to travel to any of our Manhattan and Queens locations as needed
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong analytical problem solving skills with an attention to detail
- Ability to lift heavy equipment
Pay: $50,000.00 per year
