Assisting Hands is seeking a FEMALE Direct Support Professional to aid a high functioning female individual who has Prader-Willi Syndrome. The individual is a falls risk. The candidate must be experienced, caring, and motivated to aid individuals with developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
Assistance with some ADLs
Use your personal vehicle to support individual in enjoying community outings within her hometown and nearby areas. There is a mileage budget to reimburse approved travel related to her outings and errands. -Use your personal vehicle to assist individual with essential errands, ensuring safe and reliable transportation.
Attention to detail, especially when adhering to specific protocols and rules when caring for the individual
Ensure individual feels safe and comfortable when assisting with ADLs
Assist individual in making progress on their outcome and goals for the specified service as defined in their Plan of Care
Document services provided (CBS Log)
Familiarity with EVV a plus
Advocate for individual at all times for patient rights and ensure their dignity and privacy are respected
Ensure the safety and well-being of the individual at all times
Accompany individual to medical appointments
Report any changes in individual condition or situations to supervisor and family/guardian

Requirements
Must fully comply with ALL Medicaid DDD requirements
Must be trustworthy and reliable so individual and his family feel comfortable having you in their home
Must possess good interpersonal skills, compassion and be sensitive to the individual's mental, emotional, and physical needs
Valid Driver’s License and excellent driving record (must obtain 5-yr certified driver history abstract from the DMV)
Current CPR/First Aid Certification
