Assistant Staffing Manager (Onsite)

Are you a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Marathon Staffing is looking for an Assistant Staffing Manager to help lead our onsite staffing operations supporting one of our largest manufacturing partners, in Davenport.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll help recruit, onboard, support, and retain employees while partnering closely with the client to ensure staffing needs are met. Our client operates a 24/7 manufacturing facility with rotating 12-hour shifts, making strong communication, organization, and customer service skills essential.
What You'll Do
- Assist in managing daily onsite staffing operations
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new employees
- Conduct orientations and new hire paperwork
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client leadership
- Coach and support team members throughout their assignment
- Monitor attendance, performance, and employee engagement
- Coordinate shift coverage and help fill open positions quickly
- Resolve employee concerns professionally and efficiently
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies
- Support payroll, reporting, and other administrative functions
- Help drive retention and continuous improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Previous staffing, recruiting, HR, customer service, or supervisory experience preferred
- Manufacturing staffing experience is a plus
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to support various shifts as business needs require
