Job Purpose
Lounge MOD's make $12.54 per hour with an average of $12 to $14 in tips per hour. Any untipped shifts (admin, meetings) are paid at $17.70 per hour. FT- 30 hours per week.
The Lounge Manager on Duty (MOD) is the “host of the party”—responsible for the overall guest experience and the feel of the room at all times.
Their primary responsibility is to create a warm, welcoming, and seamless guest experience by being fully present in the space—engaging with guests, supporting the team, and maintaining a consistently high standard of hospitality.
While MODs support daily operations and may step into service roles as needed, their highest purpose is not to work the line, but to lead the room—setting the tone for service, ensuring the space is clean and inviting, and making every guest feel cared for.
Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Hospitality
- Serve as the visible host of the Lounge, actively welcoming and engaging guests
- Create a sense of warmth, flow, and attentiveness throughout the space
- Check in with guests, anticipate needs, and ensure a high level of service
- Support retail sales by helping guests shop packaged products and make selections
Dining Room Standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting environment at all times
- Ensure tables are promptly cleared, cleaned, and reset
- Monitor floors, surfaces, and overall cleanliness throughout service
- Uphold standards for ambiance, including lighting, music, and overall feel of the space
Team Support & Leadership
- Model friendly, professional, and attentive service at all times
- Support team members during peak periods, breaks, and call-outs
- Coach and encourage staff to meet FBC’s service standards
- Assist in training staff on processes, policies, and procedures
- Provide feedback to the GM regarding employee performance, development, and growth
Operations & Execution
- Oversee day-to-day Lounge operations and support shift execution
- Maintain awareness of guest flow, wait times, and service bottlenecks and manage the line as necessary.
- Assist with inventory and administrative tasks as needed, including QC reports, Courier Requests, Loss Logs, and Temp Logs (every shift)
- Ensure adherence to food safety and occupational safety protocols
- Make thoughtful, real-time decisions to support both guest experience and business needs
Key Expectation: Presence Over Production
- MODs are expected to remain primarily off the line
- Time on register, bar, or service stations should be limited to:
- Supporting breaks
- Covering call-outs
- Assisting during peak rushes
The priority is to stay in the dining room.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of supervisory experience preferred
- 1+ years of service or retail experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm, positive, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment
- Open-minded and adaptable; thrives in an environment of change

Working conditions
- Requires evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
- Primarily indoor work with varying environmental conditions
- Restaurant environment including wet floors, hot surfaces, sharp tools, and kitchen equipment
Physical requirements
- Standing for extended periods
- Solo lift up to 50 lbs regularly; team lift up to 70 lbs occasionally
- Use of step ladders and folding ladders up to 12’
- Repetitive tasks with limited rest periods
