SMALL CUSTOM MILLWORK SHOP IN HIRAM GA URGENTLY HIRING CUSTOM BUILDER/LAMINATOR. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Custom Builder/Laminator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, laminating, and finishing custom-built components and fixtures, ensuring precision and quality in every project. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional craftsmanship across a variety of residential and commercial renovation, restoration, and manufacturing projects. Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately build custom components and fixtures.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, assembling, and finishing materials such as wood, metal,
- Fabricate and install cabinetry, doors, siding, fixtures, molding, trim carpentry elements, and other custom features with precision.
- Measure materials accurately using blueprints or schematics; execute heavy lifting safely to handle large or heavy components.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety protocols related to power tool safety and construction site standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction, trim carpentry, cabinet building, laminating, or related trades with a strong understanding of construction plans.
- Skilled in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings to guide fabrication and installation processes.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, drills, hammers; familiarity with power tools including nail guns, sanders, grinders; knowledge of CNC machinery is a plus.
- Solid background in general construction site experience
- Knowledge of schematics for fixture installation or electrical wiring;
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; physically capable of working on elevated surfaces or in confined spaces.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent craftsmanship skills in woodworking, metalworking fabrication.
- Effective communication skills; ability to interpret technical instructions clearly for team collaboration.
