Operations Coordinator
Location: Mercedes, TX

Schedule: Monday–Friday
Salary: $50,000–$65,000 annually, depending on experience
About the Position
We are seeking a highly organized, analytical, and technology-driven Operations Coordinator to join our leadership team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving business processes, and ensuring organizational excellence.
The Operations Coordinator serves as a key operational partner to leadership by overseeing employee performance management, compliance programs, safety initiatives, operational reporting, and continuous improvement projects. This individual will play an important role in helping our company operate more efficiently while supporting future growth.
This is not a traditional HR position. While the role includes employee-related coordination and compliance responsibilities, the primary focus is improving operational effectiveness through organization, technology, process improvement, and project management.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Performance Management
· Coordinate the employee performance evaluation process.
· Track review schedules, goals, and follow-up actions.
· Maintain employee performance records and reporting.
· Assist managers with documentation and performance improvement initiatives.
Compliance & Industry Certifications
· Maintain company certifications and regulatory compliance requirements.
· Track certification renewals, deadlines, and required documentation.
· Coordinate compliance audits and maintain audit-ready records.
· Ensure operational documentation remains accurate and current.
Safety & Training
· Coordinate monthly company safety meetings and training programs.
· Maintain employee training records and certifications.
· Track required safety training completion.
· Assist leadership in promoting a strong safety culture.
Operations Improvement
· Identify opportunities to improve business processes and workflows.
· Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
· Lead operational improvement initiatives and special projects.
· Create reports and dashboards to help leadership make informed decisions.
· Analyze operational data and recommend process improvements.
· Assist with implementation of new software and business systems.
· Help improve communication and efficiency across departments.
Administrative & Operational Support
· Maintain organized company records and documentation.
· Coordinate with outside vendors and service providers.
· Support cross-functional projects throughout the organization.
· Perform additional operational and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
· 3–5 years of experience in operations, business administration, project coordination, HR operations, compliance, or a related field.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Technical Skills
Candidates should be comfortable using technology to improve efficiency and streamline business operations.
Experience with the following is highly desired:
· Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, advanced formulas preferred)
· Microsoft Word, Outlook and Teams
· Microsoft 365
· Strong reporting and data management skills
· Ability to quickly learn new software and technology
· Experience with business intelligence, workflow automation, or project management software is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Human Resources, or a related field.
· Experience coordinating compliance programs or industry certifications.
· Experience leading operational improvement projects.
· Knowledge of OSHA or workplace safety programs.
· Experience developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
· Project management experience is highly desirable.
