Flatbed Express has an excellent opportunity for a Trailer Technician to join our growing team. We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated technician with general trailer maintenance and light truck repair experience.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of trailer types, including:
- Flatbeds
- Step decks
- Removable goosenecks (RGNs)
- Conestoga trailers
- Side-dump trailers
- Belly-dump trailers
- Externally steered bridge beam trailers
In addition to trailer maintenance and repair, the position may involve light semi-tractor repairs and modifications. Additional responsibilities may include:
- Securing and strapping oversized loads for safe transportation (on-the-job training provided)
- Piloting oversized loads
- Performing occasional roadside mechanical repairs
We are looking for individuals who are dependable, take initiative, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a positive attitude. Candidates must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment and be willing to learn new techniques and industry practices.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license required
- Mechanical repair experience required
- Must provide your own basic tools
- Flatbed Express will provide specialty tools
Flatbed Express is a DOT-compliant company. All applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Hours:
- Monday through Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Every other Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Compensation:
- $25.00 – $29.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
