Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support and assistance to individuals and families facing various challenges, including mental health issues, addiction, seniors' welfare concerns. This role requires a strong commitment to advocating for clients and facilitating access to necessary resources and services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to understand clients' needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide crisis intervention services to clients in urgent situations.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive behavioral changes.
- Offer counseling services related to addiction and behavioral health issues.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, social service agencies, and community organizations to ensure comprehensive care.
- Advocate for clients' rights and access to resources such as Medicare and other social services.
- Support seniors and families involved in geriatrics and seniors and or persons with disabilities welfare systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, progress, and outcomes.
- Participate in mentoring programs to guide new social workers or interns.
Skills
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques.
- Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to manage high-stress situations effectively.
- Knowledge of Medicare policies and procedures relevant to client care.
- Experience in understanding of behavioral health issues dementia, mental health issues, personality disorders.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective client interaction.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in social work practices.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $100.00 - $115.00 per hour
