When complete, the firm will operate the network of port complexes as an integrated system .
Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Senior Vice President of Capital Markets to lead our capital raising, strategic financial initiatives, and transaction management efforts. This pivotal role involves shaping our capital strategy, managing complex partnership agreements, and fostering strong stakeholder relationships to support our ambitious growth objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of corporate finance, financial modeling, valuation techniques, and the intricacies of property, infrastructure and technology development transactions to propel our organization forward with confidence and clarity.
This role is expected to evolve from a high-level staff role to company partner status.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive capital markets strategies to secure funding through debt, equity, or hybrid instruments.
- Cultivate relationships with investors, private equity firms, investment banks, and other stakeholders to facilitate capital raising efforts.
- Manage end-to-end transaction processes, including due diligence, valuation modeling, negotiations, and deal structuring.
- Oversee financial statement preparation, technical accounting reviews, and compliance with GAAP standards to ensure accurate reporting.
- Conduct quantitative financial analysis and develop sophisticated financial projection models to support strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate among cross-functional teams on project management initiatives related to finance, including budgeting, forecasting, internal audits, and tax considerations.
- Provide strategic insights through valuation modeling and risk assessment to guide executive leadership on major investments or divestitures.
Experience
- Extensive experience in corporate finance with a strong background in project finance strategy, investment banking, property and/or infrastructure finance and development, and technology development finance.
- Experience in evaluating and developing customized financial and project delivery strategies, including the optimized blend of equity and debt.
- Proven track record in structuring investor packages and raising capital from a range of sources.
- Proven track record in financial due diligence, transaction management, and valuation modeling.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, quantitative analysis, and financial software tools relevant to capital markets activities.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent verbal communication abilities for engaging with senior executives and external partners.
- Experience in strategic planning, stakeholder management, private equity transactions, and technical accounting practices such as GAAP compliance.
- Project management experience in finance environments with a focus on mergers & acquisitions or large-scale financial initiatives.
- Knowledge of cash flow analysis, auditing processes, tax accounting principles, budgeting procedures, and internal audit functions.
