Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Childcare Teacher's Assistant (Temporary) to join our Early Childhood Learning Center. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for young children ages 3-5. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster positive developmental experiences for children during their crucial early years.
Responsibilities
- Support teachers in implementing daily routines and age-appropriate activities.
- Help maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by following health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid procedures.
- Provide attentive supervision during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring children’s safety at all times.
- Help chaperone class trips.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and early childhood education best practices.
Qualifications
- CDA or coursework towards degree in ECE.
- Prior experience working with young children in a licensed childcare center or school preferred.
- Certification in first aid and pediatric first aid preferred; willingness to obtain.
- Must pass mandated background check, fingerprinting, health requirements (negative TB test).
- Strong communication skills, patience and flexibility.
- Ability to lift 35+ lbs.; bend, stoop, sit on floor and stand for extended periods.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
