Emergency Infant Services (EIS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children age five and younger whose families are facing severe financial hardship. By providing diapers, formula, clothing, and other essential children's items, EIS supports more than 50,000 infants and toddlers each year throughout the Tulsa area. At EIS, we believe that when families are in crisis, a child cannot wait.
Position Summary
Emergency Infant Services is seeking a compassionate, professional, and customer-focused Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for clients, volunteers, donors, and visitors. This role is vital to creating a welcoming environment while helping ensure families receive timely access to essential services.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, bilingual in English and Spanish, and enjoys working directly with diverse communities in a collaborative nonprofit setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome clients, visitors, volunteers, and guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Determine the purpose of visits and direct or escort individuals to the appropriate location
- Open and close the lobby for client services
- Provide outstanding customer service to clients, volunteers, and staff
- Check in clients using the Salesforce database
- Answer and route incoming calls on the organization's primary phone line
- Maintain a clean, organized, and supervised lobby area
- Assist with stocking supplies in the Express Room
- Support client interviews as needed
- Assist with mobile outreach events when necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned, including providing support during team member absences
Qualifications Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
