American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position requiring ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications along with floating across multiple emergency departments.

Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric populations
-
Level II Trauma Center with STEMI and Stroke Certified designations
-
Patient ratio of 1:4-5
-
Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
-
First to float across Mansfield, Shelby, Ontario, and Ashland EDs
-
Every other weekend and every other holiday required
-
Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) required
-
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
-
TNCC and ATLS certifications preferred
-
Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
-
Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
-
Charge RN experience preferred
-
EPIC charting experience required
-
Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line care, starting and maintaining IVs, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, ABG interpretation, IV vasopressors, and management of cardiac dysrhythmias

Experience with arterial line management preferred

Experience in shock/trauma care including gunshot wounds, traumatic amputation, pediatrics, head injury, near drowning, and spinal cord injury

Experience with isolation precautions/PPE, triage, and orthopedic/ortho trauma care

Provide emergency care across a network of affiliated EDs with priority floating assignments
-
Maximum 10 days of requested time off per contract, with no RTO permitted during the initial weeks of the assignment

Permanent address must be more than 100 miles from OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in Columbus, OH
-
Returning staff must have a 366-day separation from prior OhioHealth employment before accepting a travel assignment

PRN employees may not accept travel assignments while actively employed in a PRN role
-
Free parking available in any unrestricted space with no pass required

Strict attendance policy: more than one call-off may result in termination, and no call/no show results in immediate termination
