Position Summary
Seeking an Electrical Engineer or Electrical Designer with MEP consulting experience to design and manage commercial, institutional, and building electrical systems from concept through construction. This role involves electrical design, power distribution, lighting, photovoltaic systems, engineering calculations, client coordination, and construction administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems for commercial and institutional projects.
- Develop construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Perform electrical calculations including load analysis, voltage drop, fault current, and arc flash studies.
- Design power distribution, lighting, site electrical, and photovoltaic systems.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Conduct site visits and construction observations.
- Support construction administration activities including RFIs and submittal reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of MEP consulting engineering experience.
- Experience with commercial building electrical design.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Knowledge of NEC, California building codes, and utility requirements.
- Experience with electrical calculations and power system analysis.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with SKM Power Tools.
- Experience with Design Master, Bluebeam, ComCheck, or EnergyPro.
- Photovoltaic (PV) design experience.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
