Kitchen Manager for Pizza Restaurant
Location: City Barrel Pizza + Patio, 120 E Gregory Blvd, KCMO 64114
Hours: Full-Time (Average 45 hours/week)
About the Role: City Barrel Pizza + Patio is seeking an Operating Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and help us build an innovative craft brewery brand! In this key leadership position, you will oversee all kitchen operations, staff management, and menu development to create exceptional dining and to-go experiences. You will be guided by a structured 30-60-90 day plan to establish a strong foundation, build your team, and optimize our post-launch operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and portion standards are consistently met.
- Cook and directly supervise the preparation of menu items.
- Take ownership of menu planning, recipe audits, and special offerings in collaboration with the leadership team.
- Recruit, hire, train, and manage a high-performing Back of House (BOH) staff.
- Manage purchasing, coordinate with vendors, and conduct monthly inventory to maintain profitability.
- Achieve key financial targets, including a 23% food cost and a 30% BOH labor cost.
- Uphold safety, security, and health code standards that exceed regulatory requirements.
What We Offer:
- Competitive Salary: $50,000 - $55,000/year + Quarterly Bonus Opportunities
- Bonus Potential: Quarterly bonuses paid based on meeting or exceeding food and labor cost targets.
- Paid Time Off: 80 hours of PTO for vacation and sick leave, with the ability to bank additional PTO on weeks where you work over 45 hours.
