Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed health histories.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and immunizations.
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for documentation and medical records management.
- Conduct specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization, ostomy care, and sterile processing when necessary.
- Monitor patients’ physiological responses using advanced equipment like ventilators and cardiac monitors; manage airway and respiratory support as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and discharge procedures.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards to maintain patient confidentiality and safety.
Requirements
- Valid RN license in the state of practice with current certification; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Proven experience in diverse clinical environments including hospital medicine, ICU/CCU (Critical Care Unit), emergency room, or outpatient clinics.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is highly valued.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding, CPT coding, laboratory procedures, phlebotomy, and specimen collection/processing is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology to perform comprehensive patient assessments effectively.
- Ability to work in fast-paced settings such as trauma centers or Level I/II trauma centers; experience in acute pain management or trauma medicine is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for triage assessments and patient education; capable of working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice & palliative care patients.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols; experience with dialysis or gastrostomy tube feeding is beneficial.
