Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Construction Worker to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including material handling and site cleanup
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to understand project requirements
- Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting heavy materials, and installing structural components
- Operate power tools and basic equipment safely and efficiently under supervision
- Implement erosion control measures to prevent soil erosion and protect the environment during construction activities
- Follow all workplace safety regulations, including OSHA safety standards, respiratory protection protocols, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Support equipment repair and maintenance to ensure optimal operation throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
- Prior experience in industrial or commercial construction environments is preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and OSHA safety standards
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, climbing, manual handling, and working in various weather conditions
- Mechanical knowledge for operating power tools and assisting with equipment repairs
- Familiarity with erosion control techniques and environmental safety practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions precisely
