American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg travel position in Iowa or Illinois, requiring at least 2 years of Med/Surg experience and an active IA or Compact RN license.

Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting

Facilities range from Level 1 to Level 4 trauma centers depending on location
-
Epic EMR used; experience preferred

Active IA RN license or Compact RN license required (candidates submitting to IL locations must also hold an active IL RN license, or provide proof of application for an IA single-state or Compact license during compliance)

Current BLS certification (AHA) required

Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required

Heparin drip experience preferred

One supervisory reference from within 2 years of employment required for consideration

Driver's license required for consideration

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Candidates must not have been employed by UnityPoint Health within the last 12 months

Candidates must have a taxable address at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

Travelers are required to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's

RTO is limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving week and holiday window periods
