Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled individual who is interested in learning a trade. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently, take direction, and ask questions. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Job hours are typically Monday-Friday. Hours are part time to start but quickly will be increasing to 4-5 days a week.
The job will primarily be removal of prior coatings as well as include all aspects and systems of concrete coatings.
Duties
- Remove prior epoxy, glue, and thin sets by use of large planetary grinders, hand grinding, and chipping hammers
- Work as a team installing pool deck overlays, garage flake coatings, and concrete staining/polishing
- Operate large and small power tools
- Work as instructed
- Learning each application's process and thinking to the next step to keep the project moving.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during the installation process and implement effective solutions.
- Work in garages, commercial spaces, and pool decks.
- Ability to lift effectively 50 pounds.
Experience
- Experience in any industry or school that is project based (art, mechanic, trades, etc)
- Experience in installation work, particularly in concrete, painting, concrete coatings, or carpentry are bonus but not necessary.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- A commitment to safety practices on job sites is essential.
- Must be a hard worker and be able to work independently.
