Job description
We are looking for an ambitious Cook to assistance us in the preparation of food in both our pizza (and other items)restaurant next to Woods Coffee and Lombardis at the Everett Marina and our second location off bickford ave in snohomish. Our company, Best of Both Worlds Food Co. has contracts with Sound 2 Summit Brewery to run the BOH. You will be working in a professional kitchen under a seasoned chef. This is an upbeat and positive team and passion for cooking is a must. In addition to this brand new location, with a focus on pizza in a Woodstone Oven, we also run a food truck as well as our second location currently running at Sound 2 Summit Brewery in Snohomish off Bickford Ave where we serve an elevated pub menu. We are offering health insurance and a retirement plan as an option this year for those who desire it and we are continually looking for ways to work as hard for our team as they do for us. Training will be provided for those without pizza experience and of course previous pizza experience is a bonus. Responsibilities
- Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
- Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
- Prepare appetizers, entrees for service to customers
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
Skills
- Proven experience as cook/prep cook
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
- Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
- A team player with good communication skills
- Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
- Very good physical condition and endurance
- High school diploma or equivalent is desirable but not mandatory(a positive attitude and your skillset is the most important); Training from a culinary school will be an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
