As a Dump Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting materials to and from construction sites while upholding the highest standards of road safety, job-site awareness, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport materials such as dirt, gravel, and asphalt
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Load and unload materials using the truck’s hydraulic systems with precision and care
- Strictly follow all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws
- Maintain a clean driving record and demonstrate defensive driving at all times
- Perform routine maintenance checks (oil, fluids, tire pressure, brakes) and report mechanical issues promptly
- Accurately document deliveries, inspections, and vehicle maintenance logs
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, supervisors, and job-site personnel to ensure safe and timely operations
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
- Proven experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles
- Strong working knowledge of construction equipment such as loaders, graders, and bulldozers
- Mechanical aptitude to identify and address basic vehicle maintenance needs
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism
- Ability to work independently while following detailed instructions
- Excellent time management and situational awareness skills
