Founded in 2017, H.H. HINDER Brewing Co. is proud to be Waupaca's premier craft brewery. Located in a beautifully renovated historic building, our 7-barrel brewhouse features 15+ handcrafted ales, lagers, and everything in between, served exclusively right here in our taproom. Position Summary
We are looking for a versatile, high-energy team member to handle both front-of-house hospitality and light kitchen duties. In this dual role, you will guide guests through our craft beer lineup and prepare our taproom menu items. The ideal candidate balances a passion for craft beer with an eye for kitchen safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Prep & Cooking: Prepare, cook, and plate taproom food menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain a clean, sanitized kitchen workspace. Wash food prep dishes, clean cooking equipment, and log food storage temperatures.
- The Beer Experience: Greet guests, answer questions about brewing styles, offer samples, and guide customers to beers they will love.
- Service Excellence: Pour pints to style standards, package to-go beer, and process transactions efficiently via our POS system.
- Hospitality & Safety: Create an inclusive, welcoming vibe. Safely monitor alcohol consumption, verify legal drinking age, and follow all health department regulations.
- Operations: Swap out empty kegs, restock inventory, and assist with opening/closing checklists for both the bar and kitchen.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Alcohol server certification (City of Waupaca Operator (Bartender) License) completed by start date.
- Experience in food prep, line cooking, or kitchen operations is a plus.
- Strong interest in craft beer and a team-first attitude.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend continuously for shifts of 4–8 hours.
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs frequently and maneuver full kegs (up to 160 lbs) with assistance.
- Comfort working around commercial kitchen equipment (pizza ovens, air fryers, sharp knives).
- Comfort working in a high-volume, loud, and active environment.
