Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at GRC Trucking. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while obeying all traffic regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and the ability to operate tractor-trailer trucks.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes traveled, and cargo transported.
- Follow delivery schedules and routes as assigned.
- Communicate effectively with dispatcher regarding any issues or delays during transportation.
- Ensure that the truck is clean and well-maintained at all times.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
- TWIC card and Familiarity with Ports of Charleston is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
