Private In-Home Caregiver / Part-Time Healthcare Support
Location: Texarkana, TX
Schedule: Part-time | 24 hours per week week. 9AM-3PM and 3PM - 9PM with rotating scheduling. 2 weekends per month
PRN as needed (coverage if another caregiver calls in)
This position is with a private family and is not affiliated with any agency or company.
Job Summary
We are seeking 1–2 compassionate, dependable part-time caregivers to assist an elderly gentleman in the Texarkana area. This role focuses on providing daily personal care, household support, and companionship in a respectful, safe home environment. The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, and comfortable assisting with routine care tasks. Work with a great team!
Primary Responsibilities (may include):
- Assistance with daily hygiene and personal care
- Meal preparation and light cooking
- Light housekeeping related to daily living
- Providing pre-made medication packets for morning and evening routines (no medication administration beyond prepared packets)
- General companionship and supervision to ensure comfort and safety
Schedule Details:
- Part-time hours
- PRN availability if another caregiver calls in
- No overnight hours at this time (may change in the future if care needs increase)
Qualifications:
- 2+ Experience in caregiving, home health, CNA, or similar role preferred
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable
- Ability to assist with daily activities and mobility as needed
- Reliable transportation
- Trustworthy and comfortable working in a private home setting
- Client can ambulate with assistance; however, the client needs assistance to go from a sit to a stand. Gate belt training and lifting assistance are necessary skills.
