Responsibilities
- Assist clinical staff in implementing individualized treatment plans
- Facilitate and co-facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups
- Monitor and document client behavior, mood, and overall mental status
- Provide support during crisis situations and escalate concerns as needed
- Encourage client participation, engagement, and socialization
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with program standards
- Support daily program structure and ensure a safe, therapeutic milieu
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support client care
Qualifications
- Bilingual required (Proficient in spanish languge)
- Previous experience working in hospital settings, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred
- Prior experience working with individuals with serious mental illness strongly preferred (not required)
- Strong interpersonal, observational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors with professionalism and empathy
- Knowledge of basic clinical documentation and confidentiality standards
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
