About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned and strategic Email Marketing Manager to lead and oversee the entire email marketing department at Giant Partners. This is a standalone leadership position — you will own the full email marketing function, from campaign strategy and team oversight to deliverability optimization and performance reporting. You are the expert our clients and internal teams rely on for everything email.
The ideal candidate understands the science behind both cold email outreach and warm email campaigns. You know how to set up domains, configure DNS records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), warm IP addresses, and ensure emails land in the inbox — not spam. You are equally comfortable building sophisticated automation flows, writing high-converting copy, running A/B tests, and analyzing campaign performance to drive continuous improvement.
This role requires deep expertise across multiple ESPs and marketing platforms, a data-driven mindset, and the leadership skills to build and manage a high-performing email team. If you live and breathe email marketing and want to run the show, this is your role.
Key Responsibilities
Department Leadership: Oversee the email marketing department, including hiring, training, mentoring, and managing a team of email specialists. Set standards, workflows, and quality benchmarks for all email output.
Campaign Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive email marketing strategies for clients spanning cold outreach, warm nurturing, promotional campaigns, re-engagement sequences, and lifecycle automation.
Cold Email Campaigns: Architect and deploy cold email campaigns from the ground up — including list building, domain setup, DNS configuration (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), IP warming, inbox placement optimization, copy strategy, and performance analysis.
Warm Email & Automation Flows: Design and build sophisticated automation workflows including welcome sequences, lead nurturing, abandoned cart recovery, onboarding flows, and re-engagement campaigns.
Deliverability Management: Own email deliverability across all client accounts. Monitor sender reputation, manage domain health, troubleshoot inbox placement issues, maintain list hygiene, and implement best practices to maximize inboxing rates.
Domain & DNS Configuration: Set up and manage sending domains, configure DNS records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, CNAME), manage dedicated IPs, and ensure proper authentication across all sending infrastructure.
ESP & Platform Management: Work fluently across multiple email service providers and marketing platforms including Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, GoHighLevel, and ActiveCampaign. Select and configure the right platform for each client's needs.
List Management & Segmentation: Oversee list building, segmentation strategies, data hygiene, suppression management, and compliance with anti-spam regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR).Copywriting & Content: Write or oversee the creation of high-converting email copy including subject lines, preview text, body content, and CTAs. Ensure messaging aligns with client brand voice and campaign objectives.
A/B Testing & Optimization: Design and execute rigorous A/B testing programs across subject lines, send times, content, design, and segmentation. Use data to continuously improve open rates, click rates, and conversions.
Reporting & Analytics: Build and maintain comprehensive reporting dashboards tracking key email metrics (deliverability, open rates, click rates, conversion rates, revenue attribution, list growth). Present insights and recommendations to clients and leadership.
Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all email programs comply with anti-spam laws and industry best practices. Stay current on evolving deliverability standards, ISP policies, and email authentication requirements.
AI-Powered Email Workflows: Leverage AI tools to accelerate copy generation, personalization at scale, send-time optimization, predictive segmentation, and campaign performance analysis.
Qualifications
At least 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in email marketing, with demonstrated expertise in both cold email outreach and warm email campaign management.
Deep understanding of email deliverability science — including domain warming, IP reputation, authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), inbox placement testing, and sender score management.
Expert-level proficiency with multiple ESPs and marketing platforms including Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, GoHighLevel, and ActiveCampaign.
Proven experience setting up sending infrastructure from scratch — domain purchasing, DNS configuration, IP warming schedules, and deliverability monitoring.
Strong track record of managing and improving email deliverability across multiple client accounts simultaneously.
Experience building complex automation workflows including multi-step sequences, conditional logic, behavioral triggers, and dynamic content.
Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to write compelling subject lines, email body content, and calls to action that drive measurable results.
Strong analytical skills with experience building reports and dashboards to track email performance metrics and ROI.
Experience with A/B testing methodologies and statistical significance in email optimization.
Knowledge of anti-spam regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL) and email compliance best practices.
Leadership experience — proven ability to hire, train, and manage a team of email marketing specialists.
Familiarity with AI tools for email marketing (e.g., copy generation, predictive analytics, send-time optimization) and a willingness to integrate them into workflows.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present strategies and results to clients and leadership.
What Sets You Apart
The ideal Email Marketing Manager is not just a campaign executor — you are a true email scientist. You understand why emails land in spam, how to fix it, and how to build sending infrastructure that scales.
You think in systems: every campaign is part of a larger lifecycle strategy, every domain is part of a deliverability ecosystem, and every metric tells a story about what to do next.
You are the person the team turns to when deliverability drops, when a cold campaign needs to scale, or when a client wants to know why their emails aren't converting. You have the answer and the plan to fix it.
Our Team Structure
The Email Marketing Manager is a standalone department lead position. While you will collaborate with the pod teams on client campaigns that include email components, you own the email function independently — setting strategy, managing your team, and ensuring deliverability and performance across all client accounts.
