Controversy is now hiring bartenders. Nightlife experience preferred, but not required.
We are looking for someone who is driven, reliable, fast-moving, and passionate about nightlife.
You do not need to know everything on day one. You do need to be willing to learn, move with urgency, take direction, and work hard in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
As a bartender at Controversy, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing and serving drinks quickly and accurately
- Learning our drink menu, specials, and service standards
- Providing friendly, respectful customer service
- Handling cash, credit card transactions, tabs, and POS orders
- Keeping the bar clean, organized, stocked, and ready for service
- Checking IDs and following alcohol service laws and company policies
- Restocking liquor, beer, mixers, garnishes, cups, napkins, and supplies
- Supporting the team during busy shifts and events
- Helping promote events, VIP/table opportunities, and guest engagement when appropriate
- Completing opening, closing, cleaning, and side-work duties
- Representing Controversy professionally during shifts
Experience
No bartending experience required. We are willing to train candidates who have the right attitude and work ethic.
Experience in any of the following is a plus:
- Bartending
- Serving
- Nightlife
- Restaurants
- Customer service
- Sales
- Promotions
- Social media or marketing
- Event work
- Cash handling
- High-volume hospitality
Preferred Skills
Not required, but helpful:
- Comfortable talking to guests
- Ability to upsell or promote specials
- Social media experience
- Event promotion experience
- Canva, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or Meta Business Suite experience
- POS system experience
- RAMP certification, or willingness to obtain if required
Schedule

Pay: $21.77 - $26.21 per hour
