Job Overview - Senior Sales Consultant & Estimator (Fire & Security):

We’re seeking a senior level security sales consultant with estimator experience in fire alarm, low-voltage, or commercial construction environments. This person will build relationships with contractors, electricians, GCs, engineers, and commercial clients while owning the sales pipeline for an entire market.

Duties
- Conduct outbound calls and warm outreach to prospective clients to promote fire and Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, GCs, electricians, engineers, and commercial clients in Rapid City and the Black Hills.
- Identify upcoming projects, bid opportunities, and partnership pathways.
- Conduct outbound and warm outreach to promote fire alarm, access control, intrusion, and video surveillance solutions.
- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting → discovery → design collaboration → proposal → close.
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, and system requirements.
- Work with internal design teams, vendors, and engineers to produce accurate quotes and job binders.
- Utilize CRM tools (ConnectWise, Salesforce, or similar) to manage pipeline forecasting, track interactions, and maintain client records.
- Lead conversations with high-value commercial clients for both Bid/Spec and End User opportunities.
- Prepare bill of materials, proposals, scope documents, and other sales deliverables.
- Provide exceptional customer service from first contact through project closeout.
Requirements
- Proven experience in B2B sales, construction trades, fire/life-safety, or low-voltage systems.
- Ability to build repeat relationships and open doors through networking and jobsite engagement.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and follow-through skills.
- Self-motivated and comfortable owning a market and managing a full book of business.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (ConnectWise, Salesforce, or similar).
- Ability to read blueprints and understand construction timelines.
- High integrity, professionalism, and a service-first mindset.
Bonus Qualifications (Preferred but Not Required)
- Fire alarm or low-voltage installation background.
- NICET certification or similar technical training.
- Project management experience.
- Existing relationships in the Rapid City construction market.
- Technical aptitude with automation, cloud platforms, and AI-driven building systems.
