Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry, oral sugery, endodontics, and prosthodontics.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
- Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Record and update medical documentation accurately, including patient vital signs and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage sterilization of instruments and maintain cleanliness in the dental clinic.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
Skills
- Proficient in assisting with various dental procedures, demonstrating strong technical skills.
- Knowledge of medical documentation practices and familiarity with medical coding is preferred.
- Experience with vital signs monitoring is an asset.
- Strong understanding of general dentistry principles, including pediatric dentistry techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and staff professionally.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
