Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of Asian dishes using wok stations and other kitchen equipment, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency in flavor, texture, and appearance.
- Manage multiple orders efficiently during busy service hours, prioritizing tasks to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wok station and surrounding work areas in compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish preparation techniques and ingredient selection.
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed to promote safety and hygiene.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations, supporting overall team efforts to deliver excellent service.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a line cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience working in fast casual framework is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
