Job Title: Food Truck Cook @ The Water Park
Location: Kissimmee, FL
FLSA Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt
Job Responsibilities

Prepare, cook assemble, and serve menu items according to established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.

Operate grills, fryers, warmers, refrigeration equipment, and other food truck equipment safely and properly.

Prepare ingredients and complete necessary food preparation before and during operating hours.

Maintain consistency in food quality, portions, presentation, and preparation.

Monitor food levels and replenish products and ingredients as needed throughout the shift.

Properly label, date, rotate, store, and dispose of food products in accordance with established procedures.

Assist with opening and closing procedures, including food preparation, equipment setup, breakdown, and proper storage of food products.

Greet and acknowledge guests in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.

Answer guest questions regarding menu items, ingredients, preparation, and available options.

Prepare and hand completed food orders directly to guests while ensuring accuracy and presentation.

Follow all food handling, sanitation, hygiene, and cross-contamination prevention requirements.

Follow all Resort safety procedures and immediately report unsafe conditions, injuries, equipment issues, or food safety concerns to management.

Attend all required meetings and trainings.

Perform other duties as assigned by leadership to meet business needs.

Adhere to all company policies and brand service standards.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.

Previous cooking, quick-service restaurant, concession, food truck, or hospitality experience preferred.

Previous guest service experience preferred.

Ability to prepare food safely and consistently in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests and fellow team members.

Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.

Must be dependable and able to work assigned shifts, including weekends, holidays, and varying schedules based on business needs.

Must obtain and maintain any food handler or food safety certification required by the Company or applicable law.

Regularly stand and walk for extended periods of time.
-
Frequently bend, reach, stoop, push, pull, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
-
Regularly lift and/or carry food products, supplies, containers, and equipment weighing up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds with appropriate assistance.

Safely work around hot cooking surfaces, fryers, grills, steam, sharp utensils, and kitchen equipment.

Ability to work in a compact food truck environment for extended periods.

Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain prior to start date)

English language proficiency is required to perform the essential functions of this position.

Flexible schedule availability to include weekends and holidays is required.
