Nia’s Early Learning Center is relocating from Laurel, Maryland to an exciting newly renovated facility in Silver Spring, Maryland and is preparing to open pending final licensing approval. Previously serving families in Laurel, Maryland, we are hiring an experienced Lead Child Care Teacher for our new location.
This is an opportunity to join an established program and take a leadership role in building a high-quality classroom environment from the ground up.
Flexible shifts are available during our operating hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a classroom environment
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities
- Ensure compliance with MSDE and Office of Child Care regulations
- Supervise assistant teachers and support staff
- Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth
- Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging environment
Qualifications
- Must meet Maryland MSDE/OCC requirements for Lead Teacher
- 90-hour certification required
- 3 clock hours of approved ADA training preferred
- Approved Maryland basic health and safety training preferred
- Prior childcare center experience preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
