Clarke Animal Hospital is a busy animal hospital in the Muskegon/Spring Lake area that is looking for someone who would like to join our team. We are looking for someone who is experienced in the veterinary field, loves teamwork, has a great work ethic, and enjoys working with the public also. Assistants work closely with the 4 Doctors on staff along with the Licensed Veterinary Technicians, good communication skills are a must have. Assistants are an integral part of our team and we use them as much as their abilities allow us to.
Assistants are involved in most of the day to day functions here at Clarke. You will be interacting with our clients as they come in for appointments. You will be assisting the doctors and technicians with exams, blood draws, restraint, radiographs, and many other procedures. You will be helping with running some labwork and samples, along with making sure that we are always fully stocked and clean for future appointments coming in.
We are preferably looking for someone with some experience in the veterinary field. We are also open to having someone cross trained to help up front in the reception area. This could be a part time to full time position dependant on the applicant. Applicants need to be comfortable with all animals, need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds, be available Monday thru Saturday for work shifts, and show attention to detail.
Benefits are available based on hours worked.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Experience:
- Veterinary experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Veterinary assistant: 1 year (Preferred)
