Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of OR experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

Surgical Services department within a hospital setting
Handles a wide variety of surgical cases
Day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
36 hours per week across 3 days
Call requirement of 30 hours per 6-week period
Weekend rotation of 1 weekend every 10 weeks

Requirements

Active RN license (KY or Compact) currently in hand
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience
Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate patient plans of care
Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and serve as mentor/preceptor
Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Provide patient and family education throughout care and at discharge
Participate in quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives
