Activities Assistant – Full-Time
Cedar Hill Health Care Center is looking for a compassionate, energetic, and creative Activities Assistant to join our team!

As an Activities Assistant, you’ll help create programs and experiences that promote social connection, physical activity, independence, and quality of life for our residents.
What You'll Do
- Assist with planning and implementing a monthly activities calendar
- Lead and support group and one-on-one activities
- Encourage resident participation and build meaningful relationships with residents and families
- Escort residents to and from activities throughout the facility
- Document attendance and resident engagement
- Observe and report changes in resident mood, behavior, or participation
- Assist with special events, outings, celebrations, and family activities
- Drive the facility activities van/bus for resident outings and activities
- Work collaboratively with the activities and care teams
- Follow all safety, infection control, confidentiality, and resident-care policies
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with seniors, recreation, activities, or in a healthcare setting preferred
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and positive attitude
- Creative and enthusiastic approach to engaging residents
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work independently while being a team player
- Ability to assist residents with walking, light lifting, and other physical needs as required
- Must be willing to drive the facility activities van/bus
- Must be at least 25 years old to drive the facility activities van/bus
- Willingness to complete required training and participate in safety and emergency drills
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays as required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
