Provisions Coordinator I (Full-Time)

Neopolitan Lighthouse is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Provisions Coordinator to support the organization’s fundraising, training, and community engagement efforts. This role plays a vital part in sustaining programs that serve survivors of gender-based and domestic violence.
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional evening, weekend, and holiday flexibility required.
Position Overview
The Provisions Coordinator I work closely with the Executive Director to meet fundraising goals through grant writing, donor relations, and strategic program development initiatives. This role also oversees the agency’s 40-hour domestic violence training program and coordinates in-kind donations from community partners.
Key Responsibilities
Fund Development & Grant Management
- Research, identify, and pursue funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government entities.
- Develop and submit persuasive grant proposals in compliance with funder guidelines.
- Collaborate with leadership and program staff to create measurable goals, objectives, and outcomes aligned with grant requirements.
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual grant reports.
- Maintain accurate donor records and compose acknowledgment letters.
- Assist in developing and implementing the organization’s annual fundraising plan and calendar.
- Support revenue-generating initiatives, including special events and direct mail campaigns.
- Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective funders.
- Assist the Executive Director in developing new programs and initiatives to reach underserved populations.
- Submit to donors timely Thank-You letters for the contribution.
- Assist Provisions Coordinator II in ensuring networking agreements with partner organizations remain current.
- Assist in drafting and updating agency policies and procedures as needed.
Training & Supervision
- Facilitate the agency’s 40-hour domestic violence training for new hires and interns.
- Update and maintain training manuals to reflect current trends and best practices.
- Train new staff and volunteers to ensure a clear understanding and application of training materials.
- Assist with training and educating the public at community events.
In-Kind Donations & Community Engagement
- Solicit and coordinate in-kind donations from local businesses, churches, and community groups.
- Respond to community inquiries regarding donation opportunities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree required with at least 2 years of nonprofit social service and grant writing experience, in program development and reporting, fund development, grant management, training supervision, and community engagement, and
- Demonstrated experience crafting well-organized and compelling funding proposals.
- Excellent research, analytical, writing, and verbal organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of grant budgets preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Commitment to social change, preferably within domestic violence services.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention and domestic violence, and able to complete the agency’s 40-hour domestic violence training (ICADV-approved certificate preferred).
- Required to pass the Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional exam (after one year of employment).
- Valid driver’s license and access to a private vehicle required; must have automobile insurance.
- 40-hour domestic violence trained, completed through an Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional (ICDVP) Program-approved agency, is a plus.

The salary for this position ranges from 52,500.00 to 55,700.00, depending on experience.
