In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise mowing, string trimming, and grounds upkeep to ensure the aesthetic appeal and safety of various outdoor environments. Your expertise in landscape maintenance and equipment operation will directly contribute to the beauty and health of the landscapes you care for.
Responsibilities
- Operate lawn mowers, string trimmers, hedge trimmers, and other landscaping equipment safely and efficiently to maintain lawns, flower beds, and hardscape areas. Using zero turn mowers and walk behind mowers with a sulky.
- Perform regular mowing, edging, trimming, and pruning to uphold landscape design standards.
- Identify different plant species and assess their health to support overall landscape vitality.
- Follow safety procedures diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Assist with additional grounds maintenance tasks such as planting, mulching, or minor hardscape repairs as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior outdoor work experience with grounds maintenance or landscaping is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and landscaping equipment operation is essential.
- Strong understanding of lawn care practices including mowing techniques and string trimming.
- Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture principles, and basic tree care practices.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and pesticide management protocols is a plus.
- Ability to adhere strictly to safety guidelines while operating equipment and handling chemicals.
- Demonstrated physical stamina for extended periods of outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
Pay: $18.00 - $36.00 per hour
License/Certification:
