Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, including powertrain, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension, and HVAC components.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, alignments, and vehicle inspections to prevent future issues.
- Utilize schematics, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals, and electrical diagrams to accurately identify problems and execute repairs.
- Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, and power tools to ensure proper fit and function.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and other industrial machinery safely and efficiently.
- Maintain detailed service records for all repairs performed; ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Assist with assembly or disassembly of equipment during repairs or upgrades; support troubleshooting with electrical and mechanical diagnostics.
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in diesel engine repair and heavy equipment maintenance.
- Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with OEM parts and service procedures.
- Hands-on experience working with excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, or farm machinery is a plus.
- Skilled in reading schematics, electrical systems diagnostics, welding, fabrication techniques, and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics tools along with proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for precise repairs.
- Ability to lift heavy components safely during maintenance tasks; comfortable performing heavy lifting regularly.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
