Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess fluency in two languages, along with extensive clinical expertise across diverse medical settings. This role involves providing comprehensive patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The Nurse Practitioner will serve a vital role in enhancing access to quality care for our diverse patient population.
Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and adult populations.
- Prescribe medications and treatment regimens in accordance with state and federal regulations, including DEA guidelines.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks to document patient encounters accurately.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions across multiple specialties including internal medicine, geriatrics, behavioral health, and emergency medicine.
- Assist in procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, spinal taps, and dermal filler administration while maintaining aseptic techniques.
- Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care and support remote patient management initiatives.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals within collaborative practice agreements to deliver integrated patient care.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain meticulous medical documentation in accordance with healthcare standards.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Nurse Practitioner in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, emergency rooms, ICU, or outpatient clinics.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for documentation and patient management.
- Extensive clinical experience in areas such as critical care, acute pain management, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, or behavioral health.
- Skilled in performing procedures like venipuncture, tube feeding management, airway management, and sterile processing techniques.
- Experience working with special populations including pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), geriatrics (memory care), individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-9/10) for accurate billing and documentation purposes.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote patient monitoring tools to facilitate virtual care delivery.
