System Scale, a 100% employee-owned industrial solutions provider, is seeking an Outside Sales Representative / Sales Engineer to support and grow an established sales territory based out of our Louisville, KY office.
This position blends consultative B2B sales with technical problem-solving. You will step into an existing book of business with immediate earning potential, while also developing new customer relationships throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a defined geographic sales territory selling directly to industrial end users
- Develop long-term customer relationships through regular site visits and consultative selling
- Prospect new customers via cold calling, internal lead follow-up, and market development
- Work closely with regional sales and service teams to deliver complete customer solutions
- Perform site surveys and identify customer needs and opportunities
- Understand and communicate the technical aspects of weighing and measurement solutions
- Identify and pursue upsell and expansion opportunities within existing accounts
- Be available to customers outside normal business hours in rare, critical situations
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of 2 years of B2B sales experience
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and ability to obtain required insurance
- Experience with CRM and office software (Salesforce, Outlook, Microsoft Word, etc.)
Preferred
- Industrial or technical sales experience
- Ability to learn and support technical products and applications
Compensation & Benefits
- Guaranteed base salary: $65,000–$95,000 (Year 1)
- Commission and bonus opportunities with additional earning potential after ramp-up
