Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Childcare Center Site Supervisor/lead teacher to lead our early childhood education team with enthusiasm and professionalism. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations at our childcare facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. Duties
- Supervise daily activities within the childcare center, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to safety protocols
- Lead and motivate a team of caregivers, teachers, and support staff to deliver high-quality care and educational experiences
- Oversee classroom management, ensuring age-appropriate activities that promote learning, social skills, and emotional development
- Maintain compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and organizational policies
- Support staff in implementing curriculum plans focused on childhood development, preschool education, infant care, toddler care, and special education needs
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on children’s progress and address concerns promptly
- Coordinate staff schedules, training sessions—including first aid certification—and performance evaluations to foster professional growth
- Manage enrollment processes, maintain accurate records of attendance, incident reports, and developmental assessments
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with disabilities
- Strong classroom experience in early childhood education settings such as daycare or preschool environments
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in caregiving and teaching strategies
- Certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are highly desirable
- Excellent classroom management skills combined with behavior management techniques to support positive social interactions
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a nurturing environment for children
- Strong communication skills for engaging with families, staff, and community partners
- Demonstrated ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
- Director of site supervisor permit
- 3 years in working in a childcare center
