Job description
We are looking for a registered or certified medical assistant to be part of a fun, hardworking team. Must have strong people and teamwork skills. Ability to prioritize a busy environment. The ability to take initiative and direction is a must. This is a full time, 36 hours per week, position with benefits.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Management of OR equipment

Patient transport

Surgical instrument processing/sterilization

Assist physicians during procedures

Inventory Management

Sterile surgical field set up and preparation of patients
EXPERIENCE: MA must be current on BLS from American Heart Association. MA must have knowledge of computerized charting.
ABILITIES: Ability to clearly communicate and apply policies and principles to solve everyday problems and deal with a variety of situations. Ability to plan, exercise initiative, problem-solve, make and implement decisions. Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities.
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a busy outpatient surgery environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires frequent walking, standing, bending, pushing and pulling and moving equipment. Will need to wear a lead apron (wt.15-20 lbs) while working in the OR. Has visual acuity for charting and equipment operation. Occasionally may require moderate to heavy lifting. You will be working in a fast paced environment.
