Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial HVAC and Ductwork Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and duct systems in commercial buildings. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and system reliability. Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and connect HVAC systems including ductwork, ventilation units, condensers, and refrigeration equipment according to schematics and design specifications
- Perform system troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on HVAC units, refrigeration systems, electrical components, and mechanical systems to ensure peak performance
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to execute installations accurately
- Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults in electrical systems and resolve issues efficiently
- Utilize hand tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to assemble or repair HVAC components with precision
- Diagnose equipment failures through systematic troubleshooting procedures; repair or replace defective parts as needed
- Maintain detailed service records, installation logs, and safety documentation while adhering to all safety protocols including EPA regulations for refrigerants
Qualifications
- Proven construction experience with a focus on HVAC system installation and ductwork assembly in commercial settings
- Service technician experience with HVAC/R systems including refrigeration, air conditioning, boilers, and building automation systems
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in plumbing, electrical diagnostics, and equipment troubleshooting
- Ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately; familiarity with building codes and safety standards is essential
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic or repair tools
- Experience with HVAC system maintenance, repair, or installation in a field service environment is highly desirable
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle as required
- Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus; EPA certification for refrigerant handling is required or obtainable upon hire
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and team members
- Mechanical or technician certification preferred; background in property maintenance or appliance repair is advantageous

Pay: $30.89 - $37.20 per hour
