CDL-A Truck Driver
DiMare Fresh-Tampa is looking for a driver with experience operating a tractor-trailer. Drivers are responsible for complying with all federal, state, local, and company policies and procedures. Our delivery drivers are the face of our company and must always maintain professional and courteous demeanor.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Make deliveries to customers in a safe and timely manner, meet delivery schedules
- Comply with DOT rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and Hours of service including breaks) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, all accidents and/or violations
· Maintain cleanliness of truck and trailer
- Other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
· Must have valid CDL: Class A
· At least 2 years’ experience driving tractor-trailers
· Must be 21 years or older
· Must pass pre-employment drug test
· Must have clean driving record, clear MVR
· Must be insurable under our commercial auto policy
· DOT medical/physical certification required
· TWIC card required
· Must be able to meet physical requirements for handling product including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds to shoulder height or above
· Must be able to couple and uncouple trailers
· Able to operate an electric and manual pallet jack
· Must be able to read, write and speak English well enough to communicate with employees, customers and maintain written records
· Must be honest and dependable
· Reefer or Produce experience is a plus
