About the Role:
Printech Business Systems Inc is looking for a skilled Digital Print Operator to join our team in New York, NY! This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced print production environment where your technical expertise and attention to detail will make a real impact every day.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor digital printing equipment to produce high-quality print materials
- Set up, calibrate, and maintain digital printers to ensure optimal performance and color accuracy
- Review and preflight digital files to ensure print-readiness before production runs
- Perform quality control checks throughout the print process to meet client specifications
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime
- Manage print job queues and prioritize workflow to meet production deadlines
- Handle finishing tasks such as cutting, binding, and laminating as needed
Requirements:
- Prior experience operating digital printing equipment in a production environment
- Proficiency with RIP software and digital prepress workflows
- Strong understanding of color management, ICC profiles, and print calibration
- Ability to read and interpret job tickets and client specifications accurately
- Familiarity with finishing equipment including cutters, laminators, and bindery tools
- Detail-oriented with strong quality control and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines in a high-volume print shop
